I think we need more info on the song pages. Like a little blurb, or something? It just feels like the infobox and lyrics aren’t enough…

Old Gray Man Thing, the policy is that we link to downloads that Neil officially made available, or that he authorised. If you know any such downloads that we missed, then feel free to add them.

Actually, I think if we ask him about unofficial ones and he says okay it’d be fine - so we should do that. Just a suggestion.

Old Gray Man Thing, the policy is that we link to downloads that Neil officially made available, or that he authorised. If you know any such downloads that we missed, then feel free to add them. Well…. I can add some more downloads. Just let me check the songs that already don’t have downloads, and lemme see if I have em’ on my ol’ compy.

Yes, but that’s no good if those aren’t songs Neil wants us to link. (I doubt he’d want links to all the songs on Javabean plastered all over the Wiki)

We could add chords from the Tabs and Chords thread. I’m trying that out with “Kitten Is Angry”. It might be clearer to have another copy of the lyrics on the page with the chords where they go, or maybe we could just put the chords with the present lyrics? But that would probably be distracting to people who just want the lyrics, and it might be more clutter than it’s worth. Oh, well; you guys can fiddle around with my format if you think of a better way. Another question is whether to use just chords that Neil’s given out or let ones that fans have worked out in. If someone wants to put in tablature too, that’d be great.

We already worked out a system for that. See The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny: Chords for example. And look at the source of the main The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny page to see how that’s added to the infobox.

First off, what’s wrong with the songs on Hip to the Javabean? Second, the only song on here which I know I’d like to download is the Lemon Demon version of I Know Your Name (There are still others I haven’t listened to, so I’m not saying I don’t like other songs), which I’ve only ever seen on Lime Wire, and it doesn’t sound very good…

Please, for the love of crap, use the normal forum for these kinds of questions. Also, you either found the Deporitaz version mistagged (since you’re using that piece of dump LimeWire) or you actually found the LD version which isn’t even that good anyway… Plus, who dissed Javabean here?
