I wonder if it would be possible to include a template to discuss possible deletion of an article, sort of like Wikipedia does, as demonstrated here.

With our tiny userbase, a feature like that would be pretty pointless. We can just talk about deletions on the talk pages if they’re controversial (which they never have been afaik).
