Officialness

Old Gray… Man… thing edited the Main Page to change “Official Unofficial Lemon Demon Wiki” to just “Official”, on the basis that your presence and approval makes it official. Is it OK to declare it as such, or should it continue to be considered unofficial? —LÆB 14:26, 25 March 2006 (EST)

Semi-official maybe? Or just unofficial. I don’t have time to check/fix EVERYTHING that gets posted here. — Trapezoid

Official wouldn’t mean you’d have to check/fix everything… I don’t know exactly what it would mean, actually. But I guess some people might interpret it the wrong way, in any case. I’ll change it back to “official unofficial.” Semi-official is basically what I meant by that. —LÆB 14:39, 25 March 2006 (EST)

Sorry about that, guys. I… I dunno. It just feels like the true official Lemon Demon Wiki. Old Gray… Man… thing 09:27, 26 March 2006 (EST)

If it were official, there would be dancing Jesuses and Hotdogs! Duh! …No Digg —Squeakypants 18:27, 29 March 2006 (EST)

Testimonials

Just to let you all know, you shouldn’t edit someone else’s user page unless that person has designated a space that other people can edit. A testimonial section for example. So unless Neil himself chooses to add a testimonial section, don’t add them.

  • Neil who? I’m sorry, do I know you? - E = MC Hammer
  • I want to hump you sensless - Mattgcn (His friend says this too, a friend who is actually female)
  • You are not a complete waste of space - Cam (This was orginally written in my year book. What fun.)
  • Let me be the first to say that you are a supreme God and we all hope you continue your work ‘til the day you die. Keep going on strongly, Neil Cicierega. -Zapetroid

Chords

The chord pages are a good idea. I’m glad you thought of it; informational threads like the tabs/chords one are complemented well by wiki pages. Just for organisational purposes, though, can we move it to The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny: Chords and use that as the pattern for naming chord pages? Since it’s not an actual namespace, I wouldn’t choose “Chords:…” as the naming scheme. — Æther Bunny / Talk? (Sun, 09 Apr 2006 03:56:47 -0400)

Okay, did that. Is there a way to give each song’s page an automatic link to its hypothetical chords page?—Trapezoid 05:21, 9 April 2006 (EDT)

  • I’ll see if I can come up with a MediaWiki hack that does that. — Æther Bunny / Talk? (Sun, 09 Apr 2006 15:21:54 -0400)

Woah…

Neil… you have like a whole other CD on the Dinosaurchestra Bonus Tracks. I know there just supposed bonus tracks… but, will you really be able to fit commentary on the CD if you put that much? 32 tracks man. That’s alot. Old Gray… Man… thing 17:59, 24 April 2006 (EDT)

  • It’s really only about 28 minutes of music in the bonus files (many of the songs are shortish.) Hopefully the commentary track won’t take up much space at all, since it’s just text.
    • And those are just possible ones, I think. Having said that, I think OGMT may have been right. DS2 may actually be released in April. BeatlesLover / visit NOW! 18:11, 24 April 2006 (EDT)
      • No, probably not in April. I haven’t ordered the CDs yet (and I’m not ready to, actually. Bonus stuff needs to be completed) and that usually takes about a week for the production company to make. So no, it’s looking more like May… or May Not (but definitely May). —Trapezoid 03:38, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
        • awww…. well… if it comes out before the 12th, I’m a happy boy. Because if it comes out REALLY early May, I might have it for my birthday. That would be the bestest birthday ever. Oh, and thanks for relocating the forum temporarily. BeatlesLover / visit NOW! 17:31, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
          • It’s worth noting that Dinosaurchestra will be sold through cdfreedom.com, who will provide much faster deliveries than I do.
            • That. Sounds. Awesome! Fast CDs… and everything! I hope you get interviews and good reviews. I wish I could hear one of the new bonus tracks. Old Gray… Man… thing 19:12, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
              • I forgot to ask- are these new tracks the reason you haven’t been on the forums much lately, or is it that they’re just growing into a hideous forum creature? BeatlesLover / visit NOW! 20:58, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
                • Most of the tracks have been finished for a while, I just suddenly decided to reveal them on the page. As for the forums, some times I just don’t feel like perusing them very much. That’s why there are mods! —Trapezoid 22:25, 25 April 2006 (EDT)

Referer stuffs

Since the forum moved to this new temporary location, I’ve been noticing this error message sometimes, especially when editing:

Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source. If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL. More information regarding the referrer check can be found in the PunBB documentation.

Can you check on that in the admin section? — Æther Bunny / Talk? (Tue, 25 Apr 2006 19:36:24 -0400)

  • I think I’ll wait until the new server is up and running smoothly. There seem to be some problems with it— I can’t even get to the azuretek URL at all now (or azuretek.com) Hopefully, Legalcondom will sort it out soon. —Trapezoid 22:25, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
    • Ok. By the way, what web host will you be moving to? — Æther Bunny / Talk? (Tue, 25 Apr 2006 22:26:50 -0400)
      • I think azuretek is the host… the actual domain I’ll be on will be trapezoid.legalcondom.be. Since I don’t really want that URL on my site, I’ll be pointing lemondemon.com to it (and moving the lemondemon site off of eviltrailmix altogether). —Trapezoid 22:59, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
        • I just looked up legalcondom.be, and it’s the same server as the forums are on now. Is legalcondom moving his domain to a different server? — Æther Bunny / Talk? (Tue, 25 Apr 2006 23:13:56 -0400)
          • You mean azuretek? I think that’s our new home. I’m not certain exactly what’s up. —Trapezoid 23:35, 25 April 2006 (EDT)

Kudos!

I’d just like to say that I greatly admire your dedication to your fans, helping out with this wiki. Some people (*coughMattWilsoncough*) are not nearly so happy to have devoted fans, and I think it’s awesome that you are. Shippinator Mandy

  • you obviously missed the whole “A Schizophrenic Twist” thing. Neil, for a little while, didn’t like some of his more devoted fans, simply because they were completely obsessed with an old song he had written and banned from the world called A Schizophrenic Twist. Eventually, one scammed him out of it, and Neil was obviously not pleased. The user was banned, and Neil released the song onto the web for all to enjoy. Incidentally, it’s an awesome song. Full details are here and here. BeatlesLover / visit NOW! 18:46, 9 June 2006 (EDT)
    • I love my fans but every now and then I need some “me”-time.—Trapezoid 18:56, 9 June 2006 (EDT)
      • at least you aren’t Ringo Starr- he’s responded to EVERY. SINGLE. Fan letter he’s gotten since 1965. Think how lucky you are in comparison. Of course, Ringo does it by free will, btu it’s still…. wow. BeatlesLover / visit NOW! 19:16, 9 June 2006 (EDT)
        • Yeah, Ringo rocks! John on the other hand still hasn’t replied to my letter :(
          • Gee, I wonder why. I guess John hasn’t have been too lively since 1980. BeatlesLover / visit NOW! 19:44, 9 June 2006 (EDT)

Dimes and Outsmart liner notes?

You got the track listings from the liner notes… well, I’m a liner note afficianado. Could we see them?

harry potter in lego

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1749866178548669403&q=harry+potter+in+lego&total=394&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1 apon this url you will find a video titled “harry potter lego comedy”. which is just…geez, it’s awful…. but thats not why i’m writing. THIS DUDE STOLE LIKE SO MANY LINES OFF OF POTTER PUPPET PALS. a comment posted has a list of some of them. and finally, to top it all off, this video has been put on wikipedia as a “harry potter parody”. (ppp is also on this list) i dont see why they put this particular video on wikipedia if there are like a billion other fans out there that make copies of potterpuppetpals. has anyone heard of this?

  • Wow, that’s awful. Also, that guy does not know even remotely how to do a British accent. — Æther Bunny / Talk? (Mon, 25 Jun 2007 14:23:57 -0400)
  • ya know, it got ONE MILLION views on youtube. i just threw up a little bit.
