(Ron is writing a letter addressed to “TO PARANTS” with an oversized quill. He speaks slowly as he writes.)
Ron: Dear Mr. and Mrs. My Parents. I miss you. Hogwarts is fun. I am learning magic a lot. See you at Christmas! Ron.
(Harry enters.)
Harry: Hi, Ron! What are you doing?
Ron: I’m writing a letter to my parents!
Harry: Oh. Your parents. Well isn’t that nice. It’s just so nice, that you stay in touch with your parents. Your nice, living progenitors, who love you, and can talk to you.
Ron: You’ve met my parents, Har-
Harry: How does it feel, Ron?! How does it feel to receive correspondence, from the people who brought you into existence? Does it feel nice!? I bet it feels nice!
Ron: Well, I guess I like it when my parents s-
Harry: It’s also nice to be able to afford things! I can afford things! Can you afford things!?
Ron: Not much.
(Dramatic closeup of Harry.)
Harry: I can afford happiness.
(Harry is now standing next to a throne and wearing a crown. Ron still has his quill and letter.)
Harry: Sing for me!
(Ron begins to sing what sounds like a traditional Scottish song.)
Harry: Ahahaha! No tears here, in the court of Happy King Harry! No! Tears!
Ron: Do you want to spend Christmas at my house, Harry?
Harry: Yes!
